July 20th 2026

In the preblog, which was originally on the front page of the website (and contains hidden secrets), I implied that I would give some form of update about a new game called Gear Gals.  When I made that deadline, the only thing I knew for certain was that I would be showing an outdated build of the game that I had started working on a few years ago as proof that I know what I'm doing.

I picked June 20th because it has strong connections to Farnham Fables, a series that I desperately need to continue creating, but I am morally unable to do so despite having everything necessary to physically accomplish this.  I am well aware that it is impossible to prove how much HELLISH agony this brings me on a daily basis, which of course brings me even more HELLISH agony.

In the time leading up to this post, I started working on a new build of the game, which I am very pleased to report is coming along very well and functions far better than the outdated build, and I am NOT very pleased to report that it is not coming along as well as I'd like for reasons related to my sanity and not to my skills, though I do find it very interesting that my skills at game making haven't deteriorated, but instead faintly improved at a pathetically slower rate than they would have otherwise.

I considered creating a developer blog on itch.io, but then decided it's better that I keep this contained on my own website, where any intention or mistake is mine alone to deal with as I please.

I still have no idea how to explain what Gear Gals is to someone that's never played a Mega Man game without rambling on and on like a retard, which makes sense since I'm literally retarded, but it's still very frustrating and is another reason why I want to release this outdated build, so you can just see for yourself what the gameplay is supposed to be like.

Actually, part of me doesn't want to release it for the same reason I want to release it.  There's a lot of gameplay features that I'd rather keep as a surprise that are already present and functioning properly in the outdated build (and work even better in the new build).

On the other hand, I demand proof of my claims and insist on seeing the outdated build, so here it is.

My next update will be made on July 1st and, other than explaining why I picked that and the other specific dates already listed, I have absolutely no idea what to talk about in that update, or rather, how to do so without rambling.  This seemingly short post took HOURS to write and edit because of just how much I want to rant and ramble about things like the creation of the game and the lore and the story and the characters along with unrelated things like my deteriorating health and even moreso deteriorating sanity that I am convinced nobody wants to hear about until the game is actually finished.

If anyone wants to prove me wrong and ask questions that would make it a lot easier for me to write about in future updates, well, here's how to contact me.

Anyway, if there's no update on July 1st, the only acceptable excuse is that one of my suicide attempts wasn't a failure but a delayed success... or the Internet acting exceptionally wonky.  Either way, I'm certain only a handful of people will be delighted or disappointed by the outcome of that day for just a brief moment of time.

Hope and pray for whichever outcome you most desire.
