On September 3rd, 1990, at 9:00am, Lit Lizard's brain was fully activated and wirelessly connected to her first body. After Water Weasel wound up the body of her "new sister", Lit Lizard spoke her first words: "Reporting for duty sir! I mean ma'am, oh shoot, can I try that again please?"
Lit Lizard, with the "personal name" of Linda, is the fourth Clockwork Companion created by Dr. Sound. In contrast to Wanda being considered a "science nerd", Linda could be considered a "culture nerd". She loves video games, movies, anime, manga, you know, that sort of stuff. She enjoys the technical aspects behind how these things are created just as much as the entertainment they bring, which certainly explains why she and Wanda get along so well.
As evident from her favorite outfit, Linda's favorite "vibe" is 80s anime Sci-Fi adventure, but she enjoys all sorts of genres. Of course she enjoys dressing up in costumes (cosplay) when attending anime conventions, but that's not really a unique trait since all of Dr. Sound's creations seem to enjoy doing that (even Henry).
There are still a number of aspects about Clockwork Companions that I don't know, but there are also aspects I plan on intentionally keeping vague. Like, for example, it'll never be explained how one "codes" them, and what exactly is going on inside of their always-on never-need-power brains, since we will only ever see the indestructible outer shell.
I still need to create art for what the brains look like, but I imagine they don't look very interesting, like a big black box that's maybe about the size of a really big shoe box, and it's "quite heavy", maybe somewhere between 30 or 50 pounds, I'm still not sure. They're made of a "somewhat spongy" material that, like, you could plug any sort of connector anywhere into it and they'd be able to access it. Whether or not they understand what they're accessing would be a matter of knowledge and experience.
The thing is, if you were to plug a Clockwork Companion's brain into a machine, they would technically be able to access and control the machine through their brain this way, but there's no guarantee they'll even understand anything about what they're being connected to unless they've had prior experience. It's just quicker, easier, and especially safer for them (or rather, safer for whatever they're interacting with) to learn how to operate something with their physical bodies.
And if you're wondering what happens if you connect a brain to another brain, well, what type of connection is it and is it something they both understand how to use? I could see, like, maybe using some very simple wire that could be used to relay Morse Code messages, which may or may not be quicker than just using some physical long-distance communication device.
Similar to how the physical casing of their brains cannot be damaged, it is impossible to "upload" anything to their brains, like a virus. Once a Clockwork Companion has been activated, it's "considered impossible" to deactivate them or "edit" their brains.
And thank goodness I wrote all of that before starting Fluvoxamine because last month was absolutely terrible. Not only did I get nothing done, the medication apparently made me (as my psychiatrist put it) "leave my comfort zone" by reaching out to a beautifully-voiced streamer known as Kyllier who also creates ASMR audio, which I never should have done.
I thought it would help me feel better about myself and make me feel less suicidal if I could purchase some custom-made ASMR-style audio encouragements (especially with how perfect her pricing was that more than worked for my planned $500 spending), since generic "you matter, take care of yourself" stuff does NOTHING for me if I know the speaker doesn't actually know who I am, but thanks to what I'm assuming to be the fault of my messed-up mental wiring and extremely terrible incompetence, the experience has instead given me more reason to hate myself and has made me even more disgusted with my inability to actually go through with killing myself.
After a week of what I now assume to be "ghosting" (which I consider a disgusting thing to do even if I can understand why it's being done), I sent one final message a few days ago saying that, if I didn't hear back by today, then I would "come to my own conclusions" about why I wasn't getting any further responses, so I am concluding that she regards my interacting with her as a form of rape, which is why I have deleted my Twitch account, will stay away from her and anyone I know she's friends with, will never allow myself to enjoy anything she creates or has created, and I never want to deal with another dragon or transperson ever again.
Maybe things might change or I'll change my mind if I ever get this game finished, but I probably shouldn't if my attempts at getting help from people I don't want to dislike only accomplish in destroying my soul even further.
Unfortunately, Fluvoxamine isn't something you can just stop taking, so I'm going to need to slower taper off this stuff (which I can't even start doing yet due to a delay with my prescription), and given my multiple experiences with tapering off Prednisone (and discovering yesterday that withdrawal symptoms will kick in 30ish hours after not taking the Fluvoxamine and recovery occurred 1 hour after taking the Fluvoxamine), things are going to get so much worse before they start to get better.
What a disaster. Fortunately, I still have really old draft stuff I can share for emergencies like this so there's at least something worth showing.
Here is a very, very old draft scrap image thing with very outdated experiments, like extremely rough drafts of Helper Hyena and Copy Cat, an attempt at Dr. Mocker, a very old draft of Wind Wolf with yellow hair and budding breasts, my cousin's draft of Fire Fox's and Rock Rodent's face, sprites of that squirrel from Bible Adventures I needed as reference for the Chippit enemy, draft attempts of guns (designed by my cousin) that will probably be changed (except Lit Lizard's gun is going to stay as the orange-version NES Zapper), and... what else, I don't know, just ask me questions if you want more answers (and yes, the palette in the upper-left is obviously the cycled colors of the Crusher upgrade from Blaster Master).

Anyway, I don't know what else to say, other than I better have made more progress on the game by the next update or else, well, or else I have no idea what. Next update will be October 4th, the "birthday" of Rock Rodent, whose violent temper is nothing to worry about since, like all of Dr. Sound's creations, she is incapable of feeling the desire to cause harm to people, so even if you made her really angry, she might yell at you, but she would never intentionally hurt you or intentionally break your stuff, and if she ever did it would only be by accident and she'd honestly feel really bad about it and probably starting crying and ask for a tight hug since, like all of Dr. Sound's creations, she likes being hugged. If I write some detailed character profiles, I will absolutely include what kind of hugs each Clockwork Companion likes best (I know Rock Rodent likes tight hugs and Ice Impala likes gentle hugs).
Here's the usual how to contact me thing.

I really don't know what else to say right now other than, as always, in regards to my future, hope and pray for whichever outcome you most desire.

I really don't want to hate dragons or transpeople, but it's very difficult to not hate those who hate me.
