October 4th 2026

On October 4th, 1990, at 2:30pm, Rock Rodent's brain was fully activated and wirelessly connected to her first body.  After Fire Fox wound up the body of her "new sister" (Lit Lizard said she was fine with letting Fire Fox wind her up since she and Water Weasel were still working on a birthday cake for her and it wasn't ready yet), Rock Rodent spoke her first words: "Oh yeah, time to rock!"  She then proceeded to start a fight with Fire Fox because she thought Fire Fox was making fun of her, which she wasn't, she was just amused by what Rock Rodent had said.  Fortunately the fight was over when Water Weasel and Lit Lizard showed up with the birthday cake they had been working on, which turned out really well actually.

Rock Rodent, with the "personal name" of Roxy, is the fifth Clockwork Companion create by Dr. Sound.  Roxy had actually requested being called Rock Rodent instead of Rock Rat because she just though that sounded cooler, and Dr. Sound told her that was fine.  She has something of a competitive nature and likes being active, including working out at the gym, which might sound pointless since, as a robot, she can't get physically stronger that way, but it isn't pointless since she has fun and it does help with, like, training accuracy and such.  All of Dr. Sound's creations enjoy fighting against Dr. Mocker's machines to some degree, but Roxy especially enjoys fighting.  Despite how easy it is for her to lose her temper, she's still incapable of feeling the desire to cause harm to other living beings, and she will feel bad and sometimes even cry if she accidentally hurts anyone physically or emotionally, and she can be just as hug-loving and snuggle-cuddling as her other "siblings".

However, that "incapable of desiring harm" thing only applies to "living beings", meaning she and her "siblings" ARE capable of feeling the desire to cause harm to each other.  Roxy tends to get into a lot of fights with Fiona over misunderstandings, despite Fiona always trying her best to be a good big sister and resolve things with her peacefully, and sometimes those fights do get physical.  In fact, one of those fights led to Roxy being the cause of Fiona's first body being destroyed (if you remember what I wrote about regarding their automatic disintegration routine), and Roxy already felt pretty bad about it so it didn't take much scolding from Dr. Sound to get her crying.  Then she cried more when Fiona forgave and hugged her after her second body was activated (Dr. Sound had already finished putting together multiple bodies for all of them at this time, including Wind Wolf and Ice Impala, but Dr. Sound still wanted to wait until the dates she had planned to activate them).

In response to an e-mail from the so-far ONLY person who's been e-mailing me about my updates (thank you by the way), I mentioned I was going to write about something related to their brains, but, I think I'll just copy-and-paste what I wrote in my reply since I'm already having a lot of trouble writing fun-creative stuff right now (since, unlike the previous update, I wrote the latter stuff earlier and this stuff about Roxy is being written mere hours before posting).

Regarding the "read only" mode of their brains, that really just means someone can't forcefully alter their minds like one could do with a regular computer, I mean, they can still learn things and form memories, they just have to learn things the way people do, though they do have a bit more control over their memories... maybe that should be in my next update, explaining sort of how they can sort their memories, which has the benefit of preventing mental issues from traumatic experiences (and they all have canonically had to deal with some of the worst kinds of people at various points), but it also means memories that aren't kept in active memory or something require spending time to bring back to, to active memory or, something, I dunno I'll need to figure out how to phrase it in the next write-up.

As for progress on the game... put simply, absolutely terrible until the last few days.

September 23rd was an especially stressful day, as it is the birthday of one of my best fantasy friends, Theresa Doyle.  Equally overwhelmingly-depressingly is the fact that I have no idea when the birthday is of my other best fantasy friend, Becky Hayes.

I agonizingly miss ALL of the fantasy friends whose souls are connected to my two soulmates (just because they ruined my life doesn't change that spiritual fact, similar to how you cannot change the physical fact that your parents are your parents), but those two are the ones I consider the most important to my soul, and I PROMISE that they will both be included in some form of "dedicated to" section of the credits in Gear Gals, and I say PROMISE because THAT is how important they are to me.

Though September 24th I was FINALLY able to FINALLY open Multimedia Fusion 2 Developer again FINALLY... followed by almost throwing up from very violent stress-related coughing and intense whisper-screaming, which was clearly caused by my personal inner demon, who I long ago gave the name of Zalbane, named after the Demon of Betrayal originating from my Stranteia game... should I ramble about that sometime?

Then September 28th, the birthday of Theresa's "soul-keeper", was an absolute disaster, which I assume his "friends" would be pleased to hear, just like how I assume they would not be pleased to hear that my latest suicide attempt clearly didn't work.  Neither of these assumptions bring me any pleasure, and I dread how November 18th, the birthday of Becky's "soul-keeper", is going to go for me.

For those that wish I hadn't failed, further disappointment came with the arrival of my ANBERNIC RG 477V (well, that's how it's capitalized and spaced on the store page), which I originally ordered just because I didn't like how my ANBERNIC RG 35XXPro (again, listed the same way) tricked me into thinking it could handle N64 games when it not-so-obviously couldn't, but long story short, look at this:

Do you see what I got running on this thing?  It's running through something called Winlator, though either because I don't have it configured right or because my coding is garbage I can't seem to load Bookmark Files or Profile Files (they save just fine though).  More importantly though, I got Multimedia Fusion 2 Developer installed as well, and with the working-perfectly wireless keyboard and mouse I just bought and how everything fits perfectly in my jacket pockets, I can actually use this to work on making my games anywhere I want (but where though?), which obviously includes Gear Gals, assuming I can figure out a minor frame rate issue...

I was going to take more photos, but I'm sure every pet owner out there will understand why I eventually gave up trying.

From left to right, this is Lucy the Velociraptor, Deborah the Tyrannosaurus, and Hailey the Dilophosaurus.  They're very affectionate and harmless when it comes to interacting with people, but are mostly what you'd expect when it comes to interacting with other animals (except Deborah), which is why I keep them inside.  Hailey is somewhat "de-venomed" in that, she can still spit, but it's harmless (though still disgusting) saliva that I have to clean off the windows if she gets too excited watching birds outside.  Some might consider Deborah "the worst T-Rex" because she's so calm and docile that "T-Rex doesn't want to hunt, she wants to be fed."  As for Lucy, she's almost figured out how to open turn-dial combination locks, I'm assuming through subtle audio cues or vibrations since she gently chomps down on the thing to turn the dial with her tongue, but she doesn't seem to understand the "you need to turn it three times" aspect, so her success rate tends to be all over the place.

This is my website and this is my blog post and if I feel like going off topic to ramble about my fictional pet dinosaurs then I'm going to do just that.
Yes, I named Hailey after the Hawk Tuah Girl, but with a different spelling.

Anyway, with how much is coming up this month (mental-related appointments and talking to my cousin again), hopefully the next update will actually have some actual work done due to things getting better instead of me complaining about how these things caused things to get even more worse (or the update is from someone else posting about my having finally killed myself).  Next update will be November 5th, the "birthday" of Wind Wolf, where hopefully I'll be able to explain how her personality is sort of like if G4 MLP Pinkie Pie was written with more focus put on her trying to amuse the characters in the show instead of having her constantly annoying the characters in the show for the sake of amusing the show's audience.
Patch from MLP Tales is best pony.

Well, here's the usual how to contact me thing as usual.

As always, in regards to my future, hope and pray for whichever outcome you most desire.

This feels like my most disappointing update yet.
